Summer Time!

Crafting for all Seasons Challenge # 3 begins today!

It is all about Summer Time!

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Greeting Farm
Head on over to their website to check out their wonderful selection of rubber & digital stamps.

The winner of this challenge will win a 4x6 set plus a single of their choice from The Greeting Farm!

When I think of summer time, I think of finally being able to pull out from storage all my sandles & flip flops after a long cold winter.  And that automatically makes me think of painting my toes to be displayed for all to see.

When I saw this digital design, Amy Paints by The Greeting Farm, I thought it would be the perfect design to make my design team card for the challenge --

I colored Amy Paints with Copics, Spicas & Gelly Pens
Printed Papers from Echo Park Paper Co., 6x6 Paper Pad Summer Days
Glitter Cardstock from my stash

The flowers are from my stash.  What I love about them is that they come in white so you can color them with your Copics to match any patterned papers or cardstock you want.  So, I colored them using the exact same Copics I used to color her shirt.  What a perfect match!

Now head on over to Crafting for all Seasons to check out all the other design team's creations.

Also today we will announce all the winners for our individual design team's blog candy!!

First, I would like to say  thank you to everyone who joined my blog!

Ladybugs --

It is all about the ladybugs!  Or at least for me.

My father in law & I use to have a little something between us when it came to ladybugs.  When my husband & I first moved into our house 15 years ago during Labor Day weekend, our house was covered in these orange ladybugs.  It drove me crazy because they found there way into our house & I am one that believes bugs, of any kind, belong outside.  Isn't that what screens are all about?  So each year when it would get closer to Labor Day, my father in law would call me as soon as he would see that first orange ladybug at his house.  And say to me "They are BACK"!   Now every time I see a ladybug of any sort, I think of him.

So, when I saw this digital design, Scene It - Ladybugs, by Bugaboo Digital Stamps , I knew it was one I would treasure.

And even better I made this card for a challenge at Operation Write Home Stars & Stamps Blog.
The theme is green & purple color challenge.

Operation Write Home Organization is a treasured organization.  They provide card makers, like myself, the chance to make cards for our overseas troops to send homemade cards back home to their family & friends.    You can go to their website & check out all the wonderful work they have accomplished.

I colored the design using Copics, Spicas & Gel Pens
Printed Paper, Paper Heart
Edge Die Cut, My Favorite Things
Tag Die Cut, Memory Box
Text stamp, life's simple pleasures, A Muse Stamps

With the weather hot & humid for the past week,
what better challenge to attempt than a water themed one.

I had seen this adorable little boy setting out for some treasure & knew instantly that I had to use him.  But just didn't know for what.  Then this came to mind --

I am embarrassed to say I cannot remember who this design comes from.  If someone recognizes it, please let me know so I can give the appropriate credit.

Used Copics, Spica & Gel Pens to color
Printed Papers, Close to My Heart
"Life is a treasure far beyond measure" is a sticker, Close to My Heart
Quickutz die cut border was used to make the wave
