Humid & Muggy

is not what one would expect at this time of year in New England.
So I thought I would make my own crisp Fall day in my scrapbook room.

The digital design Blessed is from Whimsy & Stars Studio
I colored the pumpkins & acorn with PrismaPencils.
And used a bit of Stickles on the stems.

The rubber stamp, Twig Heart Wreath is from Memory Box.

The sentiment, Happy Thanksgiving is from my stash.

Now let's hope Mother Nature listens & cools us down a bit here.

Things I love about Fall

include the beautiful leaves that are vibrant in colors, the joy of hand picking my own crisp apples at my local apple orchard then returning home to make apple crisp or a pie.

All this leads me to the next challenge starting today at
And if you haven't guessed it, the theme for this challenge is

Sunset/Fall Colors

This challenge is being sponsored by TWO wonderful digital providers

I was given the pleasure to work with an image from each of these sponsors.

The first image I created with was from Whimsy Stamps
The image was Meljen's Design  Acorn Mouse.

I decided to pull out my PrismaColor Pens & give a try using them to color this image.
I liked the more subtle look of the colored image.
The Brown Embossed Cardstock is from Coordinations.  I sanded the texture for the inner color to show thru.  If you haven't tried there papers, I would definitely give it a try.
Bakers Twine
The Embellishment - Give Thanks - is from my stash.

The next image I created with was Bethany Baking from Sweet n Sassy Stamps

Since I loved the subtle color using the PrismaColor Pencils, I used them again, but this time along with Copics.
Orange Leave Ribbon is from my stash.
The Leaf I used as an embellishment near the sentiment was a button.
Which I then just removed the shank to be able to adhere it to the card with no extra bulk.
Sentiment, Happy Thanksgiving, from my stash.

With this card, I decided to try something different & made what I call a Tri-Fold Card.
It gives the sender quite a bit of space to write a personal letter/note.

Each of our sponsors this month have been very generous in providing us with some wonderful prizes!

Whimsy Stamps will provide a winner with 5 digital images.

AND

Sweet n Sassy Stamps will provide a winner with 3 digital images.

Now, head over to Crafting for all Seasons to enjoy all the wonderful creations from our design team.

Creativity is flowing!

Do you find once you get past the creativity block & have finished creating that first or second card that the creativity just flows after that.  Well, that is what has happened to me even though I'm also trying to beat a deadline to get a bunch of fall/Thanksgiving and winter/Christmas cards done to send to the wonderful organization, Operation Write Home.

I've been playing with my PrismaColor Pencils a bit this week & thought it would be a nice change to have a more subtle look to this.

Finally it is feeling like . . . .

FALL !

And with that in mind since the official start of fall will be here soon, I have been making a lot of fall/Thanksgiving and winter/Christmas cards.

My reason for jumping so far ahead is because the deadline for cards to be sent to Operation Write Home in time to be sent to our soldiers overseas is coming up quickly.

If you have never heard about this wonderful organization, you should definitely head over to their website & check out the great work they do.

So, if your are lucky to head outside & enjoy the crisp fall weather, take the time to enjoy it.

Happy Birthday Gabriella!

My niece's birthday was this past week.  She turned 9!

While I created this card, I thought of how she is a girly girl, so I used lots of  bling, flowers, rhinestones, glitter, etc.

Found out yesterday that she has not received her special card yet.
So with great sadness I think the postal service kept it for themselves.

Either way, the birthday wishes are the same

Happy 9th Birthday, Gabriella!

Happy Bee-Day!

Today starts a new challenge with Crafting for All Seasons.

And you guessed it, the theme for this challenge is -
Birthday

The Design Team & I were given a variety of digital designs to create with from Meljens Designs.

My digital design, Birthday Bee was so much fun to work with since I knew I had the perfect papers & sentiment to go with it.

I used Copics & Spicas to color in the design, Birthday Bee .

Along with the following supplies -
Basic Grey Urban Prairie Printed Papers - Wild Flowers, Straw & Bluebird
Basic Grey Urban Prairie Element Stickers
Basic Grey Urban Prairie Brads

And the best part is I had this sentiment, Wishing you a very Happy Bee-Day, rubber stamp from Memory Box & could not resist.  Also included with this sentiment, on the end of the wooden block is a "bonus" stamp of the little bee, which I used to stamp a bit on the background paper.

NOW  the best part,  the winner of this challenge wins,
 4 images from Meljens Designs.

Head on over to Crafting for All Seasons to check out all the wonderful creations from the rest of the design team.

And if it is your birthday today, Happy Bee-Day!

Swingin' Summer

Isn't she just adorable!
I loved this digital design, Swingin'Summer by Prairie Fairy Designs as soon as I saw her.

And since I'm feeling free since the kids returned to school for their 1st day.   I had to create with her since she looks like she is free of all worries & stress.  And is just enjoying that feeling of flying higher & higher in the sky.

I used Copics & Spicas to color her in.
I thought to make her lenses look more like glass, so I used CTMH Liquid Glass on them.

Had to use some CTMH Bling as earrings.  What girl doesn't like a bit of bling?!

For the sentiment, I used a metal diecut/acrylic stamp set from My Favorite Things.  Also with that stamp set came a few different stamps to make a line, which I used to make the border around the card.

Now off I go to enjoy my freedom to create while the kids are in school.
